Is there any kind of rationing with fuel?
I guess food and water is being handed out where its needed but is there any kind of control with fuel (from our forces I mean) or is it just "find what you can"
Kinda ironic when you think of the hype about iraqi oil, and they cant get their hands on the refined stuff!!

They arent getting gas, they are waiting for the mobile lunch van !!!
Shorter line than our one though !! dammit!.
but seriously thats crazy, how do they actually get the fuel into the place? arent the trucks constantly attacked?

There are a lot of trucks that are hi-jacked and that is one of the reasons for the long line. The other reason is that some of teh stations are only open one day a week and there might only be one station per city. (depending where you are)

117 degrees? Would that place be worth living in if not for oil, for anything, for anyone?

Well, if you think about it, people have been living there for over 5000 years. Long before people knew oil was there. Just a thought.

Yup, I'm thinking about it. It seems like hell on Earth, and I still don't get it. But I'd probably still work there if they took pilots trained on the civilian side! What's the cost per gallon there now? I heard it was something like $0.08 almost 2 years ago from a friend of mine.

It's not that bad you really get used to it. I was there 2 years. The one thing people arn't perpared for is how cold it gets. It get like it does in the U.S. but when it drops 30-40 at night, your body isn't ready!
