Agree with the comment about why bluegrass musicians are so good. I think it also applies to many folk musicians. For example, check out Doc Watson. Simply awesome.

@ebennett7: Bluegrass musicians are generally really good because they don't do it for the money. They do it because they love the music. They don't rely on swagger or good looks because their audience are also there for the love of the music. I'm glad you noticed and brought up the topic.

I first discovered Vassar from my Earl Scruggs live at Kansas State album. I've been a big fan ever since. My favorite work of his is Hillibilly Jazz with David Bromberg. SAM AND JERRY ARE CLASS ACTS TO HONOR THIS LEGEND

Oh My Gosh! How awesome! What is VC doing at 9'58"!! When you have the kind of control of an instrument these guys do ... whatever the brain thinks the instrument can do....SO COOL!! I just laughed and hooted and cheered watching this.... Thanks :-)
