These are three of the fastest 100m races in Wisconsin High School history (all from 1998). First is B.J. Tucker's prelim, which he won in 10.48. Next is Michael Bennett's prelim, which he won in 10.33. Both of those guys are now in the NFL. The final...well...let's just say it turned out about as good as every other super-hyped sprint match-up (World's Fastest Man 150m, MJ vs. Mo 200m Oly Trials 2000, etc.).
that nigguh jus blasted off

bennett ran a 10.33, which is still the 2nd fastest time in state history behind floyd heard's 10.25. however, since bennett ran this time at the state meet, and heard ran his at a national meet in california, bennett's time is considered the "WIAA State Record". nobody has come close to these times since-the closest was a 10.37 handheld time last year

It looked like Bennett passed him and would have easily walked away before pulling that hammy.
Go Bennett, hopefully (but doubtful) you get some reps with SD.
