After speaking at Macalester College on April 20, 2011, award-winning journalist Chris Hedges was asked about the FBI's role in the recent targeting of peace activists in the Twin Cities and elsewhere in the Midwest. Nine had their homes searched and were issued subpoenas to appear before a Grand Jury in Chicago. Hedges offered a pessimistic view that the FBI is merely the "jackboot" extension of the ongoing attack on civil liberties.
@reltiet Habeas Corpus has NOT been destroyed - in fact is has been re-affirmed (although this occurred under the Bush administration) - and even when the left was claiming Bush was destroying it - he did FAR less than what FDR did during WWII. In other words, he LIED.

@ToddAldrich There's nothing to dispute. Your post is just completely irrelevant to what Chris Hedges says. Why don't you dispute WITH FACTS what he says. Oh, that's right you CAN'T - because all he says is documented and is true.

Did this have anything to do with the bomb plot against the Republican convention that the FBI actually STOPPED?
OH, Hedges didn't mention this? Hmm I wonder why?
Oh, and the little sissy, complains about the very capabilities and measures taken to GET Osama bin Laden.
Cry me a river.
