Heather was the 1st Guide Dog puppy i walked.
From 11wks old till she was 13 months. These are some pictures of her, right up to the last pictures that were taken of her at Forfar Guide Dogs Training Centre on 23/10/07.She is 17mths old now.
Lets hope she makes it.

I am now walking my second pup "Jody",so i guess the next video will be all about her.
She is a little heartbreaker too.

  • Oh my gosh...my heart is breaking...tears are running down my face...I know that these pups have to go on to do their job, but how HARD must it possibly be to say 'goodbye'??? Does it get easier the more you do it?

  • I wish I could say it does get easier, but I would be telling you lies.Everytime I watch my video's about my girls it breaks my heart, but I remind myself why I do it.

To know that i have played a small part in hopefully raising a fully qualified Guide Dog,that will enable a blind or partialy sighted person to have more freedom, independance and feel more confident makes it all worth while.

One of my friends is blind and to see the bond between her and her dog,and the difference her girl makes.

  • I work for Guide Dogs Breeding Centre and I think all puppy walkers are amazing, keep it up you wonderful people!

  • Thank You all for your lovely comments.

I will update soon about Jody my 2nd pup,not forgetting Nina my 3rd pup she is a curly coat retriever x lab and is now 6mths.

  • love the music you have chosen. please tell me who is singing and name of track. have you taken on another pup yet?

  • Thanks. The song is *Til Ya Make It*

artist: isJamie Lynn Noon. Think the song is just fab.

Jody imy 2nd pup is still at Forfar. She had to have an operation,so hope she will still continue her training soon, keeping everything crossed for her.

Pup no 3 will be with me 2nd week in May,she is Black and called Nina,Curly coat retriever x.
