@UFOnaut1985 Its O.K - Ray has apologised on many occasions & we are cool with it.
Ps - I don't think there is anything on earth that you could possibly say about a building a shelter that someone hasn't said already - take a chill pill. Btw If your referring to footage everything is our own & the first bit is a joke in case anyone's had a humour bypass.

Ive always wanted to come to scotland. My parents wont take me even though a great percentage of our heritage is scottish.

The thing I like about your vids is that they are not only educational, they are entertaining.

@woodsinme Not many Bears in Scotland ;)

Cool video. No bear in the area? Thanks for sharing your skills.

sprouce roots, nice idea thanks, i'll keep that in mind, anyone know any other trees that are good for tope too?

@TheBushcraftBoyz Well handled. I don't think it matters where you learned your bushcraft. What matters is you learned it well, and that you are actually out in the wild putting your knowledge into practice. And you are posting a video, which takes a bit of guts - to put yourself out there so to speak. Keep up the good work.

Nice shelter, ive seen a few of these built on here but it was nice to see you actually use it to sleep in, rain and all and come out OK !

dude you could have saved that coal from your fire it can be used to make a new one or clean water

What axe is that you are using in the video?
Nice video. Good for you, to be bushcraft people.
Shouldn't you add the two sides to the left and right of the shelter? or, perhaps wind was not a problem?
I'm a bit uncomfortable about this cutting of alive tree branches, much more for lighting a fire in the woods. Did you really slept leaving the fire burning? But perhaps this forest was much more wet than the forests we have here?
Here in Kypros (Zypern) we have such green vegitation only for March till late April.

@Mauromoustakos - Cheers. The wind wasn't an issue here, plus when shielding yourself from the wind & the wind changes you can make it worse, especially with a fire burning.
In scotland forest fires rarely are a problem as everything is usually soaking wet even in the summer! But we do need to be carefull in areas where there is peat (semi-rotted material under the ground) & when we do get dry weather. I would go about things very differently if I lived in Cyprus - thanks for commenting.
