@singray7 Perhaps America is now a bacon of hope.

ist der dicht??

This one is his master piece. The dramatic lyrics, simple piano melody and the haunting vocals are extraordinary.

wow, a real voice without auto tune....see kids, it's possible

If you're worldly it's easy to understand this song. America's economic system makes people behave badly...to survive. Among industrialized western nations America ranks low in health care, education, infrastructure, and many other things. Unfortunately, americans are brainwashed by the rediculous right, ie; fox, limbaugh, hannity, etc. It's bye bye america as a beacon of hope for the world, and that's what rufus is singing about.

@Jokerie3 Um.... In case you haven't noticed.... Bush has been out of office for awhile now. Want to shed some more of your genius politics upon us?
I have seen Rufus live and I LOVE how he never "performs" and shows off for his audience. He makes you feel apart of his music and it is like he is sharing a part of his soul, not just sucking in your money and letting you leave disappointed. No need for pyrotechnics and cheap dance moves here!

He just stops you in your tracks, not many people can do that. It's so haunting and beautiful and profound and unique etc...
