Linus Omark' s Shootout Beauty vs Dan Ellis Edmonton Oilers vs Tampa Bay Lightening [HD]

Jordan Eberle and Linus Omark scored shootout goals as the Edmonton Oilers won for the fifth time in their last six games, defeating the Tampa Bay Lightning 4-3 on Friday.

Omark scored a highlight-reel goal with a terrific spin move and fake slap shot in his NHL debut, while goaltender Nikolai Khabibulin robbed Tampa's Steven Stamkos at the other end with a quick glove save.

Khabibulin finished the game with 38 saves, with Tampa Bay outshooting Edmonton 17-1 in the third.

i dont understand why players on tampa bay are calling this "disrespectful" to me this is what fans of the game want to see in shoot outs that being a display of the players' talent. All this shows is that Omark is a talented creative player. If Zetterberg or Crosby made a move like this no one would have an issue so why should a rookie in his first game be treated any differently?

@TMarche I think its mostly because it was his first attempt ever in a shootout and he was just being flashy so of course they are gonna try to sell it as incredible talent. When really he just span for no real reason aside from maybe throwing the goalie off which i'm sure he didn't really. Just lucky he scored. (On Dan Ellis)

wow why does everything think this was such a great goal?? i was on NHL.com earlier and this was a classic moment on the front page. it does not deserve to be at all. he first catchs an edge on his skate which causes him to almost lose his balance as he has to put his stick down to the ice to hold himself up then just shoots in desperation. i cant be the only one who thinks this.
