The Montgomery County Commission Meeting was interrupted by an earthquake on Tuesday, August 23, 2011. Employees were immediately evacuated from the County Administration Building and sent to their designated safety areas outside. There were no injuries reported. Employees were allowed back in the building after it was deemed safe by structural engineers and the Dayton Fire Department. Montgomery County routinely holds evacuation drills to prepare its employees for emergencies.
