The original song, recorded by Tom Wilson in the mid-70s, later re-recorded (ripped off) by Engelbert Humperdinck for the 1997 movie Beavis and Butthead do America
It wasn't ripped off. Tom himself has said the inclusion of the song in the film "was a great little boost for me because I earned some money, which one does not do too often in this field, and the song went on to the CD soundtrack, Geffen Records, went platinum, ended up in a couple of Warner Chapel books, anthologies . . . ." That's a quote from the script from the April 23, 2001 episode of the "Queer Music Heritage" radio show (Google it, I can't post the link).

I always thought this was a bizarre song Mike Judge wrote. Finding out it is a real song melts my reality.

I used to own this album. A real treasure if you can find it again.
