I do know that during the last writer's strike that affected The Doctors, some hack working with a hack producer allowed the show's fan favorite Missy to be killed off in some awful "cult takes over the hospital"storyline.At the same time, another idiot in charge of Ryan's Hope allowed the show's popular and hot bad boy(played by Michael Corbett) to be murdered. Remember in those ancient times, when a soap character died, he often stayed dead.

Love the promo! Were most of these characters short-term? I have barely heard of any of them, aside from Althea. The last years of the show seemed to have so much turnover. Was this during the strike?
it's still strange when I see Liz not playing Lucinda.
