Got the Wiimote + Nunchuck working with Lord of the Rings Online woohoo! Well, i suppose it would work for playing as well, but the main intention was to play music, which is what this video shows (to some extent).

Yes it's lagged, because music playing in LoTRO _IS_ lagged.

Tutorial how to get it working in XP or Vista here:

  • This is what you call ''having WAAAAY to much time" on your hands lol

  • @Maharanuu2 Tell me about it ;)

In actuality, though, it only took a couple hours to get working.. and it was intended to be the pre-cursor to making visuals using a wiimote, so this was just having fun in the name of bigger and better things (which sadly never developed.. oops ;).

  • how the hell can u play lotro with a wii remote , are u kidding dude??!?!?!

  • yup. just your everyday king of bs. thanks for shopping, have a nice day!

  • I tried to follow the tutorial on the site, but it said the LoTRO.PIE file was unavalible... help please?

  • I going to do it.

  • i can see uses for that vibrate function :p

  • I've been having the same thoughts recently. Actually a wiimote + nunchuk would do just fine i think, you just need to bind the buttons to useful in-game commands... hmmm, i'll have to give it a try when i get back home (in february ;)

  • Thats the point, you can remap your keyboard or even use a midi-keyboard to jam. As long you cannot control the music with motion sensing it is nothin better than a Wireless programmable joypad.
