@abadamu05 mental ray is more powerful then v-ray and brazil r/s but its hard .

That doesnt matter, most of us will understand what you are saying. You could say what you want afterwards using subtitles...

vray mentalray and renderman(pixaer) are the best render engines

i can't make any sense of final gather, global illumination etc etc
any clues?

its a pre-installed render option.
another choice is scanline renderer.
more powerful render engines are v-ray, brazil etc. although you would have to buy these.
