@booyah344 it needs either tommy to accept/return to evil, or to be re-invogarated by a new ranger and a new command centre and by alpha, the only one who knows how the morphing grid works.

@elomasami the movie has no effect on the series, only the turbo movie has an effect and thats to bring from zeo to turbo

What I don't get is why make the freakin movie which shows how they get there powers back then change the whole thing in the series.

@sbarrow06 if you watch the previous clip of the zords exploding alpha says the power overload wil stripp the ranger powers

The Super Sentai Series (スーパー戦隊シリーズ Sūpā Sentai Shirīzu version is very different, The American version is still good. I love the rangers.

okay, there's one thing I don't understand. How could they completely lose their powers if they lost their zords? what do the zords' destruction have to do with their powers?

@sbarrow06 Some teams of Rangers have their powers directly tied to certain things. For example, season 3 had the Ninja powers tied to the Rangers' life force energy. In this case, the Morphin Grid was in overload trying to stabilize the Thunderzords. When they shorted out, it caused a type of surge in the Grid, which is the source of most Ranger powers.
