I'm a pro with the Eldar and can tell you they dont suck. No race suck. Its all about your fighting style. Every race can be played well when in the right player's hands.

Eldar dont suck, quite the opposite really.

they use other races because their race is dying. and Eldar will rather have ten thousand humans die than let 1 eldar die.

FUCK THIS MISSION, especially when you're playin on hard difficulty.

Also, the Eldar don't really have a lot of choice when it comes to getting involved in wars, because everyone else in the galaxy is generally hostile to them.

Plus, it's implied in the fluff that Eldar rely on having air and space superiority whenever they fight a large-scale war, as opposed to 40k scale skirmishes. So in theory, the typical proportion of casualties they suffer should be much lower than in a typical 40k game.

@anotherinternetter well,kronus was a tomb world.and if there's one thing the eldar hate its the necrons.in dow 2:retri you find out thats taldeers mission.she had the location of tomb worlds near ulthwe.self defence.but even without that,the eldar almost always have a good reason for going to war.
