امسال مردم گروه گروه به پای صندوق های رای رفتند و این بار با اندیشه ای متفاوت از پیش. این بار همه آمدند که به 4 سال پر چالش و به محمود احمدی نژاد نه بگویند. اما در پی اعلام نتایج شگفت انگیز این انتخابات، مردم به خیابان ها ریختند و با پلیس در گیر شدند. قطع شبکه پیامک ها و در برخی نقاط تلفن های همراه، افزایش محدودیت های شدید اینترنتی و منع دسترسی کاربران به تارنماهایی همچون فیس بوک، یوتیوب، سی ان ان، بی بی سی و در زمان هایی حتی منع دسترسی به دو سایت محبوب یاهو و جی میل برای پست الکترونیکی دیگر اقدامات دولت برای سرپوش خبر و چلوگیری از انتشار آن بود تا جایی که نه تنها تلویزیون ها و روزنامه ها هیچ گزارشی از این راهپیمایی ها ندادند و برنامه های عادی خود را ادامه دادند بلکه محمود احمدی نژاد در شرایطی پیام شادباش خود را از رسانه ملی اعلام می کرد که جمعیت بسیاری درست بیرون استودیوی خبر و در خیابان ولی عصر در حال درگیری و زد و خورد شدید با پلیس بودند.
This time, a vast number of Iranians participated in presidential election with a completely different belief and that was to say a NO NO to the past 4 disastrous years and bring Ahmadi Nejad down from his throne. Surprised by the questionable results, they went on a remarkable protest on the streets. Followed by the objections, the text messaging devices and in some areas in the country cellular devices were disabled. Restrictions applied on the websites such as facebook, youtube, BBC, CNN and from time to time, popular email provider websites such as Gmail and Yahoo were restricted as well. Moreover, not even the TV channels nor newspapers continued their normal programs, but the stated winner candidate was announcing his congratulations message while many people were having a battle with the police and undercover forces right out of the news studio on Valiasr street
