Ron Paul's Chief of Staff - What is it like to work for Ron Paul?

He did if you watched the debates they did not show on national television. I do agree though. In order to win a campaign, you have to find the right balance between political agenda you wish to push and emotional appeal to the American people. That is one reason Obama won. He appealed to the American people's hearts, not to their minds. Going back to what I said with my first statement, the news media does control the political process at large. Paul had campaign rallies; his weren't televised.

The media bashed Paul for confronting Lincoln about the Civil War and slave issue. Paul suggested buying and freeing the slaves from the South, justifying that it would have saved American lives and money. The media turned that statement on him, making it seem like a racist comment. The media does not want someone like Paul in office because they know, with the right push from Congress, he can change this country for the good of the American people.

It will be an even sadder day for American freedom when he leaves this world.

You can only get across what the media will allow. Ron Paul did mention on numerous occasions that he was an early supporter of Reagan, but of course, if you only watched mainstream news, you likely didn't see much of anything portraying Paul in a positive light.
