People told me that I shouldn't get a Jack Russell because I keep rats. Now I know why. Look what happens...

  • Swwet, but I don't understand why I should not keep rats and dog together. All I see is a rat stealing food from the dog with the dog ignoring it. If the dog knows there will always be enough food, why would he bother?

  • @LeatherBiker040 Jack Russells, as many people didn't hesitate to tell me, were bred to be rat catchers. A friend's JRT, who was NOT socialised with rats as a pup, would tear them apart. But by choosing a mellow dog and socialising them from an early age, we have no problems. It did bug me somewhat that people thought I'd be stupid enough to leave them alone together.

  • Es precioso!!!

  • Great video! So good to see the fluffies getting on well together!

  • With rats, anything IS possible! Love your animal friends. Check out our pet rat video, "Debbie Likes Chocolate". We kept our dog away from our rats with a series of gates in the house.

  • As you so rightly say Andrew, anything is possible :-) x

  • so cute!
