The start of this episode is on a spaceship that is blowing up in space. The Doctor finally gets a Space Suit and goes hurtling towards Earth.

He is then found by Madge who is a Woman in pre war Britain. She rescues him and finally he finds a Police Box. But she opens it up and it is the wrong one.

Later on we get to see that Reg who is the Childrens Father is looking up what is happening with the rumblings of WW2.

We cut off then to 3 years later where supposedly Reg dies Missing in Action.

What I like about this episode is the Disney feel to the episode. It very much is like those episodes where we have magic doors leading to alternative realities. I have not felt so emotional and excited since Mary Poppins hit our screens.

Steven Moffat has really done Doctor Who proud in this episode. Matt Smith acts his socks off. One minute he is joking around and then he goes deadly serious. Just what you would expect from Doctor Who.

The background is provided under fair use. I have just used it to make it more interesting and draw in the viewer. At no time do I intened to infringe the copyright of The BBC. Doctor Who will always be copyright BBC and all rights are reserved. I am not gaining any money from this video and it is for none profit. I do not feel I harm the brand by using the footage and actually promote it sort of like free advertising for the BBC. I would suggest if you like the background footage and you have access to Iplayer then please check it out if you have not watched DW already.

  • Honestly the review was pants

    In my opinion,

    It didn't make sense

    Pacing was wrong

    Characters were terrible

    Too less tree surgeons

  • @infinityeelTV you mean us or the episode LULZ

  • Get the way Moffat writes and you will have what will happen in S7. You have to look at all Moffat Scripts and what turned up in them. Not the Aliens but the way he wrote it. Even Time Crash.

  • Moffat had all his ideas in Silence In The library. The parallel dimensions. Sort of alternative realities. Saving people onto memory sticks. Clone Children can't anyone see that. Just take a look at Silence In The Library and it is most of Seasons 5-6

  • @outofthegreenmist i hate it when die-hard fans that have watched the old season keep complaining about the new season and of Moffat... cos seriously, HE IS A GENIUS... I'm too much of a die-hard fan but since the finale last oct I really started loving it on a whole different lvl. mainly bcos IT IS NOT confusing... I have been able to folo it well and the whole river arc is not over-complex.... this is the first (that I know of) char that is not linear with the Doctor... if you 'die-hard' fans

  • @GraffBONE123 you saying we aren't real docor who fans? Well I'm not really much of a kid and I Haven't Really Watched all the episodes From 1963 (Although I Had watched all The Epsiode from 2005 - Now Exept well The Waters Of Mar). But Doctor who sort of gives epiodes for different people. People who like Horror, Romance, Sc-fi(All The Time), Nostalgia(Multi-Doctor Specials) and more. It's Not Only for Kids it's for all Ages since they made spin-offs one for young kids and Adults.

  • @Aspergianstar2009 That Doctor in the girl's world, do you think He's Omega or Rory?

  • @Aspergianstar2009 (cont'd)... Dicks, but Dicks never hogged the limelight, attempting to write nearly every story. Yes, he wrote the odd one under a pseudonym and rewrote other writers' scripts, but he never tried to be a one-man band. Can you imagine how boring 70's Dr Who would have been? RTD could do it. A rare talent. Moffat can't. Nothing to be ashamed of, but trying to do it all and ruining it IS regrettable.

  • @Aspergianstar2009 I've never denied that Moffat has written some great stories, though usually under RTD's stewardship. He has a good but limited imagination for which he compensates by relying on overly-complex story arcs which confuse die-hard fans and alienate casual viewers. Like I said elsewhere, complex doesn't mean intelligent. We need more variety of story-telling. He needs to step back and bring other writers in. He moans about his workload. He compares his role to that of Terrance...

  • very detailed review...!

  • :-) good review

  • I thought that this christmas special was probably the best yet, because the storyline was partly based on reality and partly based on the magic, My favourite scene is when the doctor goes back to Amy&Rory for chritmas !!! I also hope that we see more of those tree people in the upcoming series !!!
