  • Hi Gamah, Thanks. The servo seems to be OK, just got back from the maiden flight. All was OK. The strange thing is, last night, it stopped doing that, and I thought it was cured after I installed the tail servo/gyro. But today, it came back. The general concensus from others is that isn't a major deal, as you said, as long as the servo operates normally when flying. Thanks, Glenn

  • Let me guess. Spektrum or JR, right? All this "re-binding" talk reminds me of when I was setting up a friends trex 450 with spektum system. So many rebinding. So many headaches. (For example, can't bind with throttle hold on!!! WTF? ). Never had this with my own Futaba system. So, Futaba doesn't sound as cool. I get rock solid reliability(no rebind in my 4,000+ flights with my trex 500). So, it doesn't have model match? I actually use multiple model on the same craft(fly, setup, etc.).

  • I see three problems there:

    - servos binding on positive pitch

    - servo arms far away from servo shaft.

Both can be fixed by attaching the servo arms to the second or first whole. 16.5mm recommended from servo shaft. Watch for binding after this mod.

    - The weird movement of the servo is a receiver response. It commands neutral as if there was no transmitter. Neutral for the RX is established from your stick position during binding. Rebind with you AIL/ELE stick centered. If not solved change RX.

  • Turn the transmitter on before the receiver. ALWAYS.

Turn the receiver off before the transmitter. ALWAYS.

Looks like nothing is wrong with your radio, but your links from the servo arm to the swashplate should be perpendicular to the arm and swashplate.

  • hello all you have to do is rebind the reciver once all the servo are perfectly tune you rebind the reciver so the setting can be download automatictly and the servos will got to there final position when you turn on the heli or reconect the battery good luck

  • thats just the start up movement ... what i would be worried about is you lever arm is way to long and you can clearly see it goes behing were its attached to the swash get a smaller arm or move it back a few holes otherwise in a large movment on the cyclic you could get swash binding .. and you rele dont want that oh boy you dont want it lol

  • its just the servo initalizing

  • Then there is not enough travel if u do that, i had my 500 setup with like that and i could not do 3d manouvers. those arms are perfect

  • You need to move in two holes so the pushrods are more vertical. When you've finished setting up, rebind at low stick in normal mode. All that movement when you power up isn't normal. It can cause problems with gyro callibration too.

  • all my helis do tht, its normal and they fly perfecto

  • I would rather try to keep the servo arm 90° to the connecting rod

do this by using a different servo horn hole
