  • calibration of the camera or light-meter ??? have you tested the light meter against the in built one on the camera?

  • I wonder if the built in histogram it's accurate to calibrate it?

  • 18% just means that it bounces 18% of the light back. He's actually correct in saying that the color is 50% gray because an 18% gray card is halfway between complete black and complete white. Either one works. 18 is just normally used.

  • 18% ;-) Not 50%

  • I always thought that gray cards are 18% gray?

  • Hi. I have been taking some night shots recently with my canon 40D at 30sec exp. The shots look great when i view them on my camera and on my laptop but when i got some printed recently i was shocked to see how dark they came out. Is it my camera, laptop or the photo lab i go to. If you can help in any way it would be great.

  • Great stuff, but my only question is how you determine what percent of grey card (18%,50%) should you use depending on the type shoot. Let say shooting a model outdoor with just some bounce and available light or photographing an object with a black drop and studio ligths. If you can tell us this thing it would be very much appreciated. Thanks for the videos.

  • nice video!

  • Good stuff - I'll pass this along to all my newsletter subscribers.
