5/2008: McCain voted AGAINST the Webb GI Bill.

9/2007: McCain voted AGAINST bill to minimize periods of time between deployment of units sent to Iraq.

5/2006: McCain voted AGAINST $20 Million to VA for health care facilities.

4/2006: McCain voted AGAINST $430,000,000 to VA for Medical Services.

3/2006: McCain voted AGAINST increasing Vet-medical services $1.5 billion in FY2007.

Does that REALLY sound like he cares?

The pre-Webb GI Bill covers 20% of the cost of college. McCain would increase that to 40% for veterans serving more than 12 years. McCain's bill is not a joke; it is an insult.

Uncle Sam paid for 100% of McCain's education. I'm not happy Obama won, but I am ecstatic McCain lost.

This sounds like an argument based on authority rather than reason. What bills were the "right" bills? Why were they right? Why were all of the bills mentioned by grazon below wrong? You can't expect people to agree with you just based on authority. Btw, aren't the majority of people in the military conservative before going in? Isn't it a conservative atmosphere (just as universities are liberal)? Honest question...I have heard this but I am not sure.

While Obama might be Good and talking about "Change" McCain is working to make a lot of changes not just for the Country but those of us who have defended it with our lives.

John McCain did vote against this last GI bill and the VA medical care legislations that were being pushed on the Senate floor, but neither one of them were any better than what we have now, that is why McCain didn't accept them.

John McCain is a Veteran, he wants the best for other Veterans!
