This chantie was a particular favorite of Herbert G Ponting! Aboard the 'Terra Nova'. When hoisting the topgallant sail to this chantie, the hauling was done only as the name of the hero was pronounced. Ponting says it has a shorter meter and a chorus to every line. It had a good snappy tune, and always went this gusto!
