This is a repost of Here Comes the Sun. Starting with a solo performance by Rick, I added on the rest of the tracks. The "drums"were done by tapping them out on my keyboard so they're a bit shaky.

  • Can anyone tell me - did they kill fargenbastich's account? I can't find him in the search anymore. Really makes the RIAA and artists look really Moneygrubbing greedy when they are worried about a guy like Fargenbastich. I'll add that to my list of artist I boycott right behind ones that try to ram their political views down my throat.

  • @Guilddude2 Yes, unfortunately Fargenbastich was taken down by Youtube. Not sure why, but he suspects it had to do with covering some Eagles songs. So, for now, my collaborations with him on my playlist are all that remains. If and when he decides to make a new channel, I will announce it with a video posting.

  • who did you mean? popegeorgeringo or bbenge2003 ? I just chose to ignore both. What they both failed to realize (because they both failed to read the description) is that there is no way to "quantize" the drums since the tempo was dictated by Fargie's original performance. Oh well. But thanks (again) !

  • This is not in stereo...and the drums should be quantized...

  • Actually it is stereo - just not panned well. I removed the original post (mono) so there's nothing to compare it with. As far as the drums go...you know I just added instruments on top of an existing performance by fargenbastich, right? The drums were banged out on my keyboard. So no metronome was used. Pretty hard to quantize without one. Besides, quantizing is like cheating. Thanks for listening though. I appreciate it.

  • Ahhhhhhhhh now I wish I hadnt said what I did....I hope you're not offended.... :( Guess I just miss not hearing my son play the guitar........I think you're both great...I always loved that song by Jim Croce...Have to say I love you in a song.....just Jim and his guitar............

  • No offence taken! I'm glad you liked.

  • you can expect getting your account closed when you cover a big number of songs, in one of those songs there might might be copyright violation ad shit like that

  • screw him, i like it

  • You keep that " Quantizing is cheating " rule and your tracks will always sound sloppy.....get a real drummer to play snare and hi hat to a kick drum track 4 bar loop and your tracks will even out considerably... good sound overall!!

  • Yes, quantizing is cheating. So is overdubbing, pitch editing, punching in, close miking, electronic drums, or the use of any synthesized instruments. But heck...I don't really see music production as a game of accountability.

  • Great recording guys, nice job!
