  • @SargonMan 98% that is a crock.

  • The forest is a system and it doesn't work in patches!

  • I live in the redwoods, just 10 miles from Big Basin Park. Been here over 33 years. The author's statements are true.

  • i live in the netherlands and we have allot of seqouia's in parks etc and they are (for us) huge, cannot imagine to stand in a grove beside a real old one,

its one of my only wishes i want to complete in my life to see the redwoods in there natural habitat ! EARTH FIRST !

  • @astranine Economics are the bottom dictating line of what size timber is harvested. Not many mills can handle "old growth" timber anymore. Too expensive to log, haul, and mill.

  • I think that this man is lying. I wonder what rapacious company he works for.

  • something i plan to do in the future, come to N california from the uk to see the redwoods,(my holiday of a lifetime). would be interested to hear from anyone with information on accomodation in the area, logcabin, hotels etc,, thanks.

  • us loggers dont want all the big red woods cut down we respect them and want to keep them for others to view and the statement that all it would take is money no it would take more than that

we have 2nd and third and fourth growth red woods that may not be as large or old as the others but still are large by them selfes

  • Dang ... I didn't look at your user name first time I saw this video !! It's you - GF Beranek ...

No wonder I liked the video so much. You do a great job with these.
