What happened to Slim? Did he died that day during that jump or he died later but that specific jump was his last one?Anyway the important thing is that he was doing what he enjoyed the most...He may rest in peace.

@msk7046 maybe your brain chemistry is off. ever thought of that? what you probably don't understand is a lot of base jumpers are just as scared as you. i stand on exit points shaking like a leaf sometimes, but i know how much i love it so i push myself. a lot of base jumpers i've met have the biggest fear of heights, or at least had the biggest fear, the more scared you are the more you love it

@sleibhin325 yeah that's what got me into skydiving too. also problems with anxiety in social situations. skydiving and base helped me with all my anxiety issues. i guess it just makes you confront them. walking into a room full of people doesn't quite seem as scary after you've done things like these. now it's really annoying when people say they won't go skydiving because they're scared of heights. i'm like, yeah that's why you should do it

@MagicMalky That's exactly why I started skydiving. I have an almost irrational fear of heights (among other fears, I've been diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder (which I also almost think is bullshit, but nonetheless I am pretty terrified of damn near everything, and yes I put a parenthesis within a parenthesis)) and skydiving is by far the greatest thing I have ever done. Aside from the pure physiological enjoyment, I had never felt so confident and happy in my life than after a jump
