Sophie: NICK!! *I was beaming with happiness at this moment. I couldn't believe it! Nick was ok! I gave him a hug, one that was soft because he was still hurt, but it meant a lot.*
Nick: Ssssssoophie. L-listen. I'm sssssssoorrry about EVERYYTTTHINNG. Aaabout Newww Yeeeeaaars and thiss and tttthhhhe mall. I-I... *He was gasping for air. Tears were pouring down my face*
Sophie: Shhh. Don't say anything more. I forgive you. *He smiled, scooted over, and patted the side on his bed next to him. I gladly layed down beside him. He took my hand, and rubbed his thumb over the outside.*
Nick: I llllllovee youuuu..SOO MUCHHH SOO SOO MUCH..*He took a deep breath after every word he spoke.*
Sophie: I...I love you too, Nick. I love you too.
Nick: You mind if I take a nap?
Sophie: *Giggles* Not at all. *I smiled and I looked at him. He looked at me, and smiled. I swore his smile could light up a room*
Nick: You're the most amazing girl I've ever met. *He took my hand and kissed it. Then he closed his eyes and began to sleep. I took this time to call everyone to tell that he's awake and everything's ok. They all came over minutes after.*
Nina: I can't believe it! He's alive!
Joe: I knew my little bro could make it, I knew it.
Kevin: Im gonna go get somethin to eat since Nick probably wont wake up soon. You guys wanna come? *We all nodded and went.*
Jessica: So, Soph...how's livin life on your own?
Sophie: It's great, actually! I feel independent and free.
Joe: Wow. Amaaazing. Where's the pizza?!
Sophie: Ya gotta ask the lunch lady for it. But if I were you, I would wait a few hours to get anything from that lady. She picks her earwax and puts in the food. I suggest you just get some ice cream or something pre-made.
Joe: EWW!! I must have a word with her!! *Walks over to the lady who's currently picking her ear* Excuse me miss.
Lady: What can I get for ya, Sonny??
Joe: Umm...my name is Joe..not Sonny...I'm not even sure that I know a Sonny. But whatever. I have a question.
Lady: Joe...sounds like a great name! What your question, JOE? *She stared at him with wide open eyes*
Joe: It's kinda hard to say this but uh... DO YOU WASH YOUR HANDS??!!!
Lady: I wear plastic gloves.
Joe: But you pick your earwax!
Lady: Without gloves on..
Joe: Oh. Well in that case, can I have an enchilada, nachos, and two burritos? Oh no wait, make it one burrito. I'm trying to cut down on the Mexican food. *Smiles really wide and the lady just stares at him* Well?! Get to it, waxy!! CHOP CHOP!!
Lady: Oo, nasty.. someone didn't have their daily wheatgrass shot today..*Begins making Joe's order*
Joe: Listen lady, my stomach is growling. DO YOU HEAR THAT?! Oh no wait, you can't. You have earwax in your ears. Well how about this. There's a new invention. It's called a Q-tip! GO BUY A FEW!! *Under his breath* You can use some. *Joe grabs his order and walks away.
Lady: LISA!! I'M GOING ON MY LUNCH BREAK!!
Lisa: Where are you going?
Lady: The Super-market. I gotta pick up something. I'll be back in a half-hour. *Joe giggles* ~At the lunch table~
Sophie: JOE!! I TOLD YOU NOT TO BUY ANYTHING FROM THERE!!
Joe: Yea I know!! But I was soo hungry! I HATE it when my tummy makes noises! Plus she says she picks it without gloves.
Sophie: Really. Can you explain the sticky yellow stuff on your tray?
Joe: *Looks down, spits out his food, and makes a face, kind of like when a kid eats something sour* EEWWWIIEE!
Nina: HAHAHAHAHAHA OHH MY GOD JOE YOU'RE HILARIOUS!
Sophie: Hehe..yea calm down Nina, it wasn't that funny.
Nina: Oh.. Let's go back to Nick now.
Sophie: Sounds like a great idea! *I ran out of the cafe and into the elevator. I was pushing buttons like crazy! I finally got into Nick's room, but only to find him still sleeping. Very quietly I laid down in his bed right near him. His eyes fluttered open and he
smiled. My heart melted, right in place. He grabbed my hand and kissed it.*
Nick: Good news. My doctor says I'll be out of this wacky shack by tomorrow. *He smiled once more*
Sophie: *I giggled* That's great! Nick, you scared me there. What were you thinking?
Nick: I was thinking I wasn't good enough for you. That life wasn't worth living, if you weren't always with me.
Sophie: No matter what, I'll always be right here. You remember our motto? *We made it when we were 6*
Nick & Sophie: Always together, Can say whatever, Be there whenever, Best friends forever. *We smiled at each other.*
Nick: I never knew you remembered.
Sophie: I never knew you remembered either.
Nick: Sophie?
Sophie: Yea?
Nick: Promise me something?
Sophie: Anything.
Nick: Promise me that no matter how old we are, how far away from each other we are, that we'll always be in touch.
Sophie: Nick, do I have to repeat the motto? I'll always keep in touch with you. ALWAYS.
Nick: Thanks Soph. I want you to know, you mean the world to me. You always will.
