This is the single 833A tube coil that is powered by 2 MOTs in series, level shifted for approximately 6kV @ 500mA plate supply. This run is at lower power in continuous mode.

  • Well actually, it's even more than 6kV because in addition to having two MOT secondaries in series, their outputs are ran through a doubler circuit. So far, I've never flashed over a tube though. This is probably because the MOTs saturate long before they reach full output.

  • cool! but why do you put two MOTs? Isn't 6kV too much fot 833a?
