Part two of the trip between London City and New York JFK, including landing and departure at Shannon, Ireland, a stop made necessary due to the short runway at London City preventing a full fuel upload. However, US pre-clearance of both immigration and customs is conducted at Shannon, negating the need to go through this process in New York - a significant time-saver.

@rparksbrown i know us customs are cleared in Shannon, but if you were to time the flight against a flight from LHR to JFK, you would esentially be out in New York city faster

@SweatyFunSeeker US Customs are cleared in Shannon, Ireland and passengers arrive in JFK as domestic pax.

@EinkOLED but then the flight arriving in JFK still has to go through customs which will take some considerable time in JFK, am I not right?
