I didn't feel that there was any point in taking anything that wasn't mine. I'm just not that kind of woman. My mother on the other hand is trying to push for me to take more but I wont have any of that. frankly she is really starting to get on my nerves. So yes there is a way to be civil in a divorce, we are doing it, and I don't see why more people cant do the same thing.But not every one is Pete and me. BTW thank you Pete for your help in the paperwork. Jess

Well I would give you my condolence on your issue but you've pretty much said you didn't need it. I have to say that I'm in the very early stages of going though a divorce & my soon to be ex wife was no were near as rational & thoughtful as it appears that your wife was. Its good that you guys could find a way to come away from this aspect of your lives but still be able to remain good friends. I still know that even though its a painful situation to go through, in the end you did whats right.

This is why I'm 16 and never asked out a girl yet, because I can't imagine myself with an irrational girl that doesn't seem to realize that it IS possible to break up without spitting venom at each other. I'm lonely, but hey, it's worth the wait.
