  • David is so good that he hits that last note before opening his mouth! Gotta love tracked vocals! Or is that Wes????

  • If you have ever been to a Homecoming concert or one of David's concerts, you know that they do not lip-sync their songs.

  • David doesn't need anyone covering for him...the guy is amazing. Watch the other recording of this same song, and this is obvious. We don't have to defend David, though. His music speaks for itself.

  • The final high note was David. Wes had the high note (the fifth of the chord) while David stepped back to take a breath, then he came in with a higher note (the root of the chord). Trust me, I checked this 5x with my piano playing against the audio (after listening to the audio 5x) and that's what happened. You can clearly hear David enter on the last note above Wes, no doubt about it. And it's obviously David because the note doesn't sound until he steps back in and puts the mic to his face.

  • arghhhh- why dont people realise that he can hit the notes and have vocal track underneath adding support? the gaithers use vocal tracks alot now but they still sing all the notes! frustrates me but hey , such is the music industry - they have to go with the times :)

  • @dewdrop53 it's tracked vocal... whether you dont like to admit it but yes.. occasionally, they have to do this in order to aid David when at times his vocal condition doesn't seem to kick some good blasts... you notice his own voice goes off ahead before he ever opens his mouth.. Steve Green has done the same measures during his late 90's tours... David Phelps was really great, and still is.. but his age is pulling his physical strength down; but his vocal spirit is unarguably very overwhelming

  • buen buen canto para nuestro Dios ...a los 4:19 wess acerca el micro por eso parece una segunda entrada pero se ve claramente que wess esta haciendo la segunda voz reemplazo de guy pero muy bueno

  • @adurby13 Hehehehe... I get EESS, but GVB do sometimes too... it all depends... you gotta have a good hear for that... I know Bill always use it... sometimes by mistake on DVDs, you can see how he stops singing and his voice is going...

But i mean, its ok... they do this all year long, and you have to take of your voice.

  • @CaptMoo How do you know that? They don't. I have friends in the southern gospel industry and they said that the Vocal Band is all live vocals. Signature Sound uses vocal padding though. You can't be running around as much as they are and hold notes consistently.

  • @jorgeatalido Yes it is. If you listen, there's no vibrato before David comes in. David always is in vibrato that high.

  • @badandymancan How do you personally know what notes Wes can hit and not hit?

  • @badandymancan Wes Can Hit That Note !

  • #1 David is not feminine, I am a singer, and it an emotional experience, especially hitting those notes, because it is not easy, your highest note can take everything within you. Singing is more than just the vibration of two vocal chords together. Especially when you are singing for Jesus. #2 he is hitting that note, I been there when he's done it before, they are not pulling your leg. I think the very end was a little rough, but don't Hate on David, he's a good man even beyond his singing.

  • I have been inches away from David's mouth when he hits that high note. He is absolutely amazing. I bet it's a delay in the video.
