  • Vote UKIP people, we need to get a grip in this country!

  • You are right only in so far as points 1 and 2. Point 3 is nonsense, it didn't seriously damage the conservatives and stuart wheeler new it wouldn't, there are only two main parties who are likely to get elected and Labour certainly won't, it's been in too long and become arrogant and foolhardy. The conservatives will get in therefore in the next election.

  • "Also, Cameron has promised a referendum on Lisbon".

As Nigel Farage explained time and time again, David Cameron could kill the Lisbon treaty any time he wanted to. But he simply ignores it and pretty much chucked the whole issue to one side.

  • Please, let's be pragmatic. There's no way that UKIP could get together a coalition of support that could mean that get a majority in Westminster.

Also, Cameron has promised a referendum on Lisbon.

  • UKIP are the fourth largest political party in the country and are committed to withdrawing from the undemocratic political union. I assume when you said 'main party', you were referring to the 'big 3'?

How will they go about returning some sovereignty once the Lisbon Treaty has been ratified?

  • Ironically I think it's the Lisbon Treaty that officially grants the option of leaving the EU.

But yes you're wrong in that the Conservative Party, even WIlliam Hague have all said they would never consider leaving Europe. Wheeler isn't opposing the Conservatives for the general election as he says...he simply advises voting UKIP in the Euro elections which makes perfect sense as the only influence these votes have is the message they send, even if every British MEP was tory they'd have no say.

  • Forgive me if I'm wrong, but surely:

    1. The UK can only leave the EU at the behest of a Westminster government, not a Brussels one,

    2. The only main party that would consider doing this is the Conservatives,

    3. Damging the party like that could compromise it's chances of getting into government in the UK?

Tell me where I've gone wrong with my logic.

Even if the Conservatives won't leave the EU they will surely return at least some sovereignty to Westminster.

  • What are they going to do with it? Bribe voters? :p

    Too little, too late.

  • Vote UKIP June the 4th

  • Thanks! Good point! Leaving the EU would basically spare us the debt everyone's so concerned about...but it's not even being discussed as a valid option!
