Is this movie offensive to jews? Is that why it was "ignored" and didn't get a distribuitor?

This is by far the greatest film Abel Ferrara has done and one of the finest films of all time. An absolute insanely great masterpiece. It is a travesty and a sign of the stupidity of our times that this film has not been released on DVD. I don't even think it played in New York. I saw it in Berlin and it made me cry. So rare to see any films that take risks anymore!
