But remember beetles weigh under a tonne so that size engine in a small car will give alot of people a shock ;)

@nitrojetta 190 hp at the crank is still about 150~140 at the wheel (not bad though)

@matt31031 Your a fucking idiot. I'm trying to give the guy a complement. Not put him down. A 104 hp does sound low but if the torque is high this could be a screammer. A friend of mine has a 63 with a 1776 I think he has the standered performance stuff. 110 engle cam daul 40 delortoes and a header with daul tips. swing axle trans with stock gears and ring and pinion. But he's got real small tires on it 195x45x15. But from a standing start this thing screams up to about 80 to 90 mph.

Sounds likes your using C35 CAMS

104 hp? you're losing a lot somewhere, mine puts out around 190 hp at the crank

For everybody here. Horse power numbers are a joke. The way a chassis dyno is suppose to be used is to tune a car while its running in a parked position so you can make quick adjustments to increase performance. So your looking for a change of state. Dynos can be calabrated to show a wide range of horse power numbers. The best test is to take it to the track and see what it does in the real world. Post your quarter or eighth mile times. That tells the truth about the performance of a vehicle

O'Yeah the horse power numbers don't look that impressive. But I bet the torque numbers look very interesting
