Nielsen replaces workers with H-1Bs from Tata Part 3

Lou Dobbs: 6/25/2008 The Nielsen Company in Oldsmar, Florida is replacing 110 of their American employees with Indians that work for the bodyshop Tata (TCS). The Americans are being blackmailed into training their H-1B replacements under the threat of losing their severance payments. The reason the H-1Bs must be trained is that they aren't qualified for the job and they don't have the skills. This is a proven case where H-1Bs are the cheapest, not the best and the brightest.

Oldsmar city council is complaining about Nielsen's firing of American employees but they are powerless to do anything about it. Congressmen Bilirakis, Nelson, and Martinez say they don't know what is going on at Nielsen. None of them were concerned with the outsourcing of jobs and they didn't want to talk to reporters like Bill Tucker.

Americans are lazy while Indians are more creative and better able to handle more work under pressure. We are not exploited, just faster and not always complaining about work. Further, we have the most PHDs, the most young people who can create better IT software compared to any other country. As such, the world is going from service to knowledge industry and India is here to lead. Accenture and Northrop will diminish while Infosys and Wipro rise to the top. I think when a company wants to compete globally, such decisions are inevitable. Nielson is doing the right thing and there is not point in arguing unnecessarily.

Companies have all rights to create efficencies to compete in global economy.If you push employers more than comapnies like Nielson will shut down their offices in US and go to more business friendly countries. Don't blackmail American companies and don't force them to say that they are global companies rather than American. No one pays $12000 in Tata. This is bullshit and hoax
