NEW CD " OUT OF THIS" on ITUNES
Heres a version of an old english folk tune. Tuning is DADGAD, played on my Maton EBG808l. Recorded using an AKG c3000 mike.

  • wow great job man! what strings are you using and what gauge?

  • @marcusfreindmusic Im using 12- 53s elixer nanoweb strings.

  • Im using a Boss BR1600 recorder which has a built in pre amp. Its a simple set up but works well if you dont use the EQ.

  • hey mate love this vid. just curious, im looking at buying this exact same guitar, but some people say that the 808L model is just a crappier version of the 808. i wasnt sure if that was the case, and after hearing this vid im convinced its not, but im just wondering how u set up the mic. like is it just out of sight, or is it mounted inside the guitar??? thanks anyways

  • The mike is outta site. The 808L is the same as the 808 just differenr timber. This has walnut back and sides and a cedar front and an AP5 pickup same as 808. Superb guitar. The`808 has mahogany back and sides with a spruce front. Apart from the obvious tone atributtes of both types of timber I cant see any big difference. Perhaps there is on the top end model but i havent played it yet.

  • The guitar is alos plugged in to a AER domino amp . It is just turned on and no more ,just for a little reverb. All eq is set flat on amp, mike and guitar. Guiatr is fitted wot elixer 12 - 52s strings which i find work really well .

  • Why does this not have more views. haha

  • @Muzishan2 Did you end up buying this guitar? The L stands for the laminated back and sides, which is Queensland Walnut. I played a friend's m325 and was suprised at how sweet it sounded. I don't think there are any guitars made with solid Queensland Walnut, and I don't think Maton make any cedar tops with solid back and sides, which is a pity. Out of all the Maton guitars, this one takes my fancy the most, because iit is cedar and doesn't sound exactly like TE.

  • Wonderful cover.

  • Fabulous..........

  • Nice arrangement.

  • omgod that was awesome!
