Cricket's Susan Salo jump grids second session 5 .5 months.wmv

These are some exercises from Susan Salo's Puppy Jumping DVD. This is Crickets second session of jump grids. The "jumps" are PVC pipes cut in half length wise, so the puppy gets to figure out how to use their body without using height which could damage their growing joints. These jump grids are only done ever few weeks and with very few repetitions-but Cricket and I have had a blast with them. I Love watching her learning how to use her body. Cirkcet is 5 1/2 months old

She is so sweet! These are the same things that I did with my BC when he was a puppy! I am so happy that you have posted this. I also, love that you are using the little bumps! It is so important to not jump a puppy until their growth plates have matured. It is always better to be on the safe side! Nice work! 5*s!

Yep, I wanted to make sure to say not to jump pups with any height it would be terrible to hurt any pups by doing things way before they are ready, or drilling any of this stuff-it has to be fun and short sessions just every once in awhile.
