THE ANSWERS:
1: I've wandered through the mists of Avalon.
True.
After university my wife and I attempted to hike across Canada. The first leg of our journey was across the Avalon Peninsula in Newfoundland where, yes, we got lost in the fog. A few times.
2: I changed my name.
True.
I was born and christened Kyle Alexander Jones, but when I was 18 years old I changed it to Colin Anthony Jones.
3: I have a negative ape index.
True.
An ape index is the ratio between one's height and one's wingspan. Most people have a neutral or 1:1 ape index; I met one fellow with a positive ape index (his reach was more than two inches greater than his height.) I have a half-inch negative ape index. Why would any one care? Rock climbing.
4: I was a Kill hanger
True.
It would be more accurate to say that I was a kiln hanger, but where I worked and where I grew up the "N" was abandoned for the sake of expediency and irony. What a kill hanger does is fill a tobacco kill (kiln), a small building for curing and drying tobacco leaves. I did this job for 5 summers during highschool. Tobacco farming is a nasty job and I could go on and on, but suffice it to say that a kill hanger is like a goalie on a hockey team - there's only one and he's weird.
5: Three of my favourite books, are kids books.
True.
Not my top favourites, but way up there: Le Petit Prince by Anton st.-Exupery, Call of the Wild by Jack London and Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson
6: I ran for Canadian Federal Parliament
True.
Yes I did. I was the Green Party candidate for Haldimand-Norfolk in the 2004 federal election. I earned 1804 votes which was a substantial increase for the party and something I'm quite proud of. I had almost no money and literally ran for office - running from one door to the next to get my message out. Over the month-long campaign I dropped 25 pounds.
7: I was born with three nipples.
False (congratulations to our winner.)
Nope, just two. They're both on the left though. Kidding.
8: In my freshman year at university I lost 15 pounds and gained 15% to my average.
True.
I didn't take highschool very seriously and my marks showed it. I got to university, loved it and raised my average. I also moved in with my then fiancé, now wife, who is a much healthier cook than I was and dropped 15 pounds. I also stopped working on the farm which meant the thinning extended to my muscles as well.
9: If it weren't for modern medicine, I'd be dead a few times over.
True.
Pneumonia twice, a nasty parasitic infection, and a near-drowning.
10:
True.
None have been published, but I'm working on it.

It was a very small and very unsuccessful contest. It was supposed to be funny.

Cool, thanks and how was running for parliment? I've often thought about just running locally.

Good. It would have been better if I had some money.
