@99g07p actually guy any Mk3 VR6 has a 160mph speedo....not 140. and my stock vr6 motor with just a chip and exhaust before other work hit 142-143ish with a full car and 165k miles on the motor.

@samiam2595 MKIII's were definitely governed. I have a mkiii in my driveway that I daily back and forth to work every day. Even with a techtonics catback exhaust and a CAI, this car will only hit 120. All cars that are manufactured for US markets need to be governed. If you hit 140, which I doubt because that is the top speed the speedometer marks, then your speedometer must have been wrong or you were dreaming. No car especially at 180k miles hit the max speed unless it is tuned
