Marco Simões is the Communications and Sustainability Vice-President for Coca-Cola Brazil, where he is responsible for the company's corporate affairs, corporate marketing, social responsibility and sustainable development areas. He also accumulates the position of Executive Director at the Coca-Cola Brazil Foundation (Instituto Coca-Cola Brasil) and acts as Vice-President of the board of the Brazilian Advertisers Association. Before joining The Coca-Cola Company, Marco held positions in companies such as the Abril Group, SuperVia and Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting), acting as the head of commercial, marketing, operations or communications areas for more than 15 years. He graduated in journalism from the Federal University of Minas Gerais, Brazil, and completed work towards an MA in Mass Communications at the University of São Paulo, Brazil. He also holds an MBA from the Daniels College of Business of the University of Denver, USA.
