Gomes was fucking AWFUL that season... until they played liverpool..

gomes was one of the best shot stoppers when the ball was hit from 20+yards. its just he would regularly make a howler at least once a game

we hit the bar 4 times had 9 super saves and they had 2 injury time shots and 2 injury time goals. These 3 points cost us the league in 08/09 :(!!!!!!!

Maybe because Gomes has let in SO many easy goals?

Everyone can look like a star in one of the worst competitions in Europe. He was a massive flop in the most competitive league: EPL. Gomes has insane reflexes but he is an extremely inconsistent keeper. And his aerial ability is SHOCKING. He is a great line keeper but when it comes to set pieces he is even worse than some of the championship players. He can only play well in competitions like the Eredivise or Jupiler Pro League.
