See more tutorials at http://abletonlife.com Here is a video showing how to chop up an upright bassline from a Jazz song. Shows how to set warp markers as slice points, slice the audio to a MIDI track, and set up Drum Rack to act like an MPC.

  • love it. incredibly clear.

  • Many thanks!

  • Brilliantly explained, superb end product. You sir are a dude! thank you :)

  • @eliphinobeats I might be wrong but doesn't it warp to the global (whole project) tempo listed at the top right and not the track? You could set global tempo to that of the track, would that not work? Ableton newb here so take anything I say with a grain of salt. Alternatively you could manually warp.

  • I want to make love to your tuts thanks man

  • great tutorial and sick beat at the end

  • Awesome tut. I loved that dope hiphop loop you created aswell.

  • I want to slice without ableton warping at all. When you right click and go warp straight it warps to the bpm that ableton has guessed. Don't want that. What should I do?

  • v cool

  • nice !!

what do you search for to find sampled audio?
