Given the age of this machine it sounds just great. Goes to show they were built to
last. Nice amber tone off the projected image which no doubt is due to the old type
incandescent 1Kw lamp but it adds to the vintage quality of the machine. Nice to see
one of these machines in action and its image and steadiness are ace...

My grammar school had a couple of these. I haven't seen them since then until now.

My high school had one of these machines, of which I was often "pilot-in-command", especially for one older woman teacher. I didn't like its speaker arrangement at all. Most of my school's 16mm B&H projectors were the slightly newer 8399, whose speaker was on a removable panel that could be put up by the screen, I much preferred those. I always found it was much easier to set the volume, so I could hear it at the back of the classroom, instead of guessing if it was loud enough at the front.

Very nice projector there. That music on the film sounds familiar. If you can, would you show us what's on the film as that music is playing, and during the ending music? It sounds like a very old tv program that PBS, or NET at that time aired. I would appreciate it, and thank you for your time.

@JVY9000: Sorry for taking so long to act...it was a 1960s-era German language arts film. Unfortunately, I cannot share the film not because of any rights issues, but because I included the film with the projector when I sold it.

Do these use halogen bulbs?

No, it uses old-fashioned incandescent projector lamps (bulbs). The lamp in this projector is 1000W, ANSI code DFY. Lamps for these projectors are no longer made but new-old-stock ones occasionally turn up on eBay.
