Definitely Roger Moore's best, and one of my favorites in the entire series. Barbara Bach has always been my favorite Bond girl, that is until Eva Greene's "Vesper" came along--I have to say they are tied now. Anyway, I grew up with Roger Moore as Bond, so I think nostalgia plays a big part in my fondness for him in the role. I would say '77-'83 were the peak years for Moore's Bond.
Another rollercoaster-ride through the bond-universe.
Just sit down and enjoy the ride!
Everything is over the top entertainment and sheer fun.
It's a pity they used the same plot as in you only live twice and a non john barry score. But it has jaws and a diving lotus esprit,An amazing skiing sequence ending in a glorious skydiving jump.
Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan have a lot in common. They did about 2 or 3 good films, and basically slipped into senility after that. A 50 year old man skydiving? Is this James Bond or the Bucket List?
OK I saw many better Bond movies but still The Spy Who Loved Me was great Action/Adventure movie. Roger Moore shines as always. Barbara Bach was great but Caroline Munro impressed me much more - she was really stunning. Curd Jürgens and Richard Kiel (Jaws) were great as well.
Best Moore bond film despite John Barry's 'absence'
