When I rewatched this scene I just realized how amazing Jared was in this part. Slightly tispy, but trying to talk to Dean - who walks out.
It's subtle, but I love it. My heart break :'(

This is why Im a sammy fan. He cops most of the shit. this is why i wanted to slap Cas in the face that episode he called him a monster. Why doesnt he or dean or bobby shut up for a moment and take a walk in sam's over sized clown shoes for a day? See how they like getting the blame. Also I wish ppl would stop telling sam he started the end of the world. it was actual dean who started it in hell, and who thought icing lilith could be bad, i would have! Likewise Sam is in a terrible situation his life has been manipulated and tarnished by demons since he was 6 months old. He's under pressure and probably afraid of himself and his abilities and that's not even including the latest seasons, it's impossible to say one brother does more for the other and who receives more consideration out of the two when their in am impossible situation and doing everything they can just to survive not just together but also to survive each other in this season.

Putting into perspective both Sam and Dean's struggle against assuming their destined roles with demons and angels constantly weighing in on it all. With heaven and hell both wanting to go to war, their in an impossible situation and doing the best they can under the circumstances. So I don't think it's fair to say 'Oh Sam needs him'. Sam always needs him for some reason or another. Heaven also needs him. Castiel turns to him how many expectations can be placed on Dean before he cracks.

I feel sorry for both of them no doubt both of them have it hard, Sam has so many issues demon related, and Dean has just been broken down by so much never-ending bad. The weight of the world is literally always on their shoulders he's got the guilt of the devil possibly winning the war and killing everyone if he refuses to be Michael's vessel. And then coping with Sam being Lucifer's supposed host and the pressure heaven is putting on his shoulders, to prevent that and fight him is enormous.

Not include him nor thier family. While his heaven was about / escaping/ his /family/ deans was all about his family and how he missed and loved them. Dean hasnt had a really normal or happy life yet sam got stanford and fianceé and even if it didnt last atleast he had that. Not like dean who only had sam.

To all dean haters: have you thought of it from his POV? Same basically abandoned him and ran away! TWICE! not only that but john always pressured dean to be the perfect soldier. Dean only lived for sam and when it finally becomes to much HE'S the coward? Come on. Plus sam may seem like he had it tougher but how do think dean felt when he had to watch his mum die his father become someone else and basically raise his little brother. Not to mention sams version of heaven hurt him because it did

@zimgir1098 I completely agree, and I wish they hadn't gotten rid of "big brother Dean" because he's pretty much been nonexistent on the show since S4 :( sigh...there's not really much of a reason for fans of sam to watch at all, it's not like they give a damn about his character. i miss the dean that was vunerable because he loved sam so much, and not the dean who is vunerable because he's always getting butthurt when sam so much as breathes incorrectly :|

Dean just pisses me off sooo much. He forgets that not only is Sam in this with him, but he has it worse!!! And Sam, he beats himself up about it inside everyday and. It. Isn't. Fair. Dean needs to man up and be there for Sam because God knows Sam is ALWAYS there for Dean. But it takes Sam being seriously injured or worse for Dean to care at all. :'( Poor Sammy, you need to know we love and support you :)

poor Sam. I really hope Dean doesn't go against him and say yes to Michael. if he does, Sam will be fair game for Lucifer & will possibly be hunted by Michael. this season is so sad.

This part made me cry when I watched it. Can't bear to see this fractured relationship between Sam and Dean. I agree, Jared was awesome in this.
