  • I once read a George Harrison article in a guitar magazine which had some of the most interesting notes on chordal theory I've ever read. Trust me, they were well aware what they were doing, they were also extremely interested in the avant-garde classical music, and later on combined the two. Yes they had all the other aspects too, but what was so amazing about them was how they combined the complex theoretical ideas with the impact of a pop song to make something so original

I dont think Paul Mccartney was even 17 when he wrote it.

  • 2:25 When psychedelic music began.

  • @hayden50 Yea I kinda figured that.

It's cool, there's plenty of classical and opera music I like but as genres, I find they lack soul and for me that's the most important part of making music.

  • @skeletorphd well you maybe right but for your information, Howard Goodall is a classically trained musician.

  • @hayden50 Yes but he made a point of how musicians approach music which is incorrect for all musician besides the classical or opera genres.

Chords are great but sometimes to get a point across, you use summat that sounds discordant.

  • @skeletorphd what ? he's explaining the evolution of popular music.. he's a music historian
