Takes away the purpose of the kayak itself. Kayak is made to be silent and man powered....and besides, it takes so few effort to row on a kayak, you could go faster with a paddle without sweating a bit.

Side mounted engine... Does it behaves well? Any steering issue?

@lgcs3110
It's awkward at best, the taller the occupant is... it effects the side to side weight distribution balance which makes it kind of scary. So I only use it on calm water. There's much better alternatives than this contraption. Having the power in the rear is far more efficient.

Marine battery is located in the front storage compartment.

Did you drill through the Kayak or are those the rodholders?

@StealY0urFace
The holes for the motor rig bar are the preexisting scupper holes for kayak drainage. I did however drill a small hole at the kayak rear for the electric wires to connect with the trolling motor. To answer your other question, the marine battery in the front storage compartment and I did purchase the kayak at West Marine, however you might be correct on the manufacturer.
