Ray McDonald was an excellent dancer and so unlucky not to feature in any more MGM musicals; he died at the tragically young age of 39. Note the brilliance of the MGM orchestra - particularly the trumpets, trombones and drums. Thanks.

Such a loss of talent ...
If it had not been for her poor health McCracken might have been another Cyd Charisse.

All I kept thinking while watching this, is that everyone in this scene is dead.

DIRTY WIGGAS. WHITE NIGAS

At 2:35 when the dancing kicks in, Joan dances toward you, its great, this is the best dancing I know of. She is wearing black balet showes and you can see her raiging. She was just the best.

Joan at 2:33 goes into a wonderful dance. She died of diabetes at 43. But in this small segments shows just how good she could be and thats really the best!

This was on Oscar nominated song and was used on an episode of "I Love Lucy".

Most of the musicals I liked were not made by MGM. But "Good News" is is my favorite, maybe because it was somehow different than the other MGM musicals. Joan McCracken was a wonderful dancer, and soo cute!

same year my car came out!
This the highlight of the entire film - and it isn't even performed by the principals. Talk about scene-stealing...
