I have always been a big fan of Don Knotts. I really liked seeing him as a "western Barney Fife" in Hot Lead & Cold Feet. Despite receiving major treatment in promoting the film, He has a really small part. The best scenes in this movie were the attempted shootouts between Knotts' Sheriff Denver Kid, and western movie veteran Jack Elam (making fun of his image) as Rattlesnake. Here is the first of their four comic shootouts.
