This video will show you a cheap way to recreate the "Bullet Time" effect seen in the Matrix movies. It requires two free applications: Paint.net and Wax 2.0.

  • this kinda sucked, horrible effect

  • agreed. but the video was to see if the concept would work...it did, but with less than great results. if it were done with a dozen dslr camera's, it would be an excellent effect. but alas, i am cheap.

  • Hey.

No offence I love your vids... but I think you need to put up another example vid. This one didn't really have much of an effect to properly demonstrate the "matrix effect" imo. Then again perhaps I'm just crazy.

  • CyanProductions is right. to keep it cheap, i used disposable cameras. otherwise you'd be spending hundreds of dollars per camera. while it would be more effective, it would also cost somewhere between the one thousand and ten thousand dollar range.

  • @ClubPenguinProVideos Agreed, It even looks like Sony Vegas

  • Why dont u record it, with muliple cameras, then morph it? looks much better

  • I'm working on an effect where you only need to cameras

  • @coolcam262 You need more cowbell

  • A few tips, tweak the contrasts so each picture matches the video. Calibrate the angles of the cameras before gluing them(preferably, mount them with a screw(tripod mount screw) to a piece of wood. And also, no foreground objects.

You could also use software that morphs photos into each others and render them into an animation(there are free software for that), then you could put more distance between the cameras(and increase the effect dramatically both in fluidness/duration and angle).

  • wth ? the final effect it just looked like it lagged and went green i uno but good vid i guess still made an effect lol

  • wax is the poor man's sony vegas, lol NO OFFENCES

  • how do you get the xVid?

  • really, if its not a typo, you should learn to spell. and just to clarify, i dont have feathers
